The first thing to do - ROOT your phone

I got an Android Phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia X10) in Feb 2011. I have been playing around with it since and I just love it. Well if you own an Android phone and have not yet rooted your phone, you are definitely missing out.
  • Why root your phone? : To name 2 most important reasons:
    • It gives you complete control
    • You can remove those annoying inbuilt applications that you wished never existed
  • Can I unroot my phone?: Yes, but there are risks. If you own a Sony I guarantee that you can do it anytime. You can accomplish this with just a few clicks using Sony's phone update software....easy....
  • How to ROOT?(Android 2.1): While there are many ways and I was tired of searching and trying them, the one that worked for my phone was this piece of software: "SuperOneClick".
  • Using "SuperOneClick" for rooting Android 2.1: You just have to double click on "SuperOneClick.exe" and click the button named "Root".

  •  How to get this software: Search for "SuperOneClickv1.7-ShortFuse" on the net and download it.
Note: You can probably unroot your phone by clicking on the button named "Unroot", but I have not tried it.
